Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Unveils Vineet Gopal’s Pioneering Book on Indian Outbound Tourism

In a significant development for India’s travel and tourism sector, Hon’ble Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Cabinet Minister for Culture and Tourism, formally launched Vineet Gopal’s debut book“INDIAN OUTBOUND TOURISM 2030: WHY INDIA MATTERS?” at a special ceremony in the capital.

The book, subtitled “The Rise, Reach and Reign of the Global Indian Traveller,” captures the evolving landscape of India’s outbound tourism and its growing global footprint.

Speaking at the launch, Vineet Gopal, a well-respected travel industry professional with over 25 years of experience, shared, “This book is a tribute to the unstoppable spirit of Indian travellers who are redefining global tourism. It’s a milestone in my journey through the vibrant world of Indian travel.”

The publication offers strategic insights for tourism boards, luxury brands, policymakers, and travel professionals, covering topics such as generational travel patterns, digital adoption, MICE and wedding travel, luxury trends, visa policies, and India’s role in global tourism diplomacy.

Featuring popular destinations like Dubai and Paris, and spotlighting emerging choices such as Japan, Georgia, and Portugal, the book outlines how Indian travellers are influencing global tourism dynamics. With outbound travel from India projected to cross USD 90 billion by 2030, the book positions India as a rising tourism superpower.
