IATTE launches new State Chapters; plans to organize event in London

In its pursuit to further strengthen its presence pan India, Indian Association of Travel & Tourism Experts (IATTE) announced the launch of 10 State Chapters yesterday (January 20).

The new State Chapters include Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Goa.

Naveen Manchanda, President, (IATTE) speaking at the virtual event organized to launch the State Chapters said, “It’s a matter of immense satisfaction for us that our family of what we call ‘IATTEans’ has grown overwhelmingly in a short period of time. We have been able to create a network of professionals that represent different segments of the tourism and hospitality sector. We plan to further launch more Chapters in the near future.”

The Maharashtra State Chapter is being represented by Sunil Agrawal (Yashoda Tours, Aurangabad) while Barun Gupta (Crowne Plaza Greater Noida) is spearheading the Uttar Pradesh State Chapter.

The other representatives include Pawan Kumar Chellani (Genius Globe Travels, Indore) for Madhya Pradesh; Ankur Rara (Raj Palace, Jaipur) for Rajasthan; Sheikh Mohammad Sultan (Just Holidays, Srinagar) for Jammu & Kashmir; Tanisa Mookerjee(Greynomad, Kolkata) for West Bengal; Raminder Bawa (Sai Worldwide Travels, Solan) for Himachal Pradesh; Sathish Sooriya(Yes Holidays, Chennai) for Tamil Nadu; Balu KN (Vacationsxp.com, Bangalore) for Karnataka and Meenal Barapatre (Global Tours and Services) for Goa.

IATTE is also planning to organize its maiden ‘physical’ event internationally in London later this year.

“London is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. With UK withdrawing from the EU based on the Brexit agreement, trade between India and UK is likely to grow further. We can expect more corporate and leisure travel between both the nations. So, I think it is the right time to organize a tourism event in London,” said Veena Robinson, General Secretary, IATTE.

IATTE had opened its first State Chapter in Gujarat on October 15. The membership of the forum has crossed the 1600 mark in a very short span of time.

Gaurav Khandelwal, Joint Secretary, IATTE said, “Our forum has not only been able to create a strong platform where businesses from different verticals can network but has also resulted in a bonhomie between different members.”
