ICPB elects new leadership

The India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB) has elected unopposed its new leadership at it’s 31st Annual General Meeting and Elections for the Governing Board that took place in New Delhi.
Amaresh Tiwari, Managing Director, A T Seasons & Vacations Travel  who was erstwhile the Honorary Secretary of the ICPB has taken over as the new Vice Chairman

Girish Kwatra, CEO, Meetings & More has been elected as the new Honorary Secretary. Kwatra earlier held the position of Honorary Treasurer in the bureau. Anuj Wadhwa, COO, Plan It! Meeting and Conferences India who was earlier member of the governing board is the new Treasurer. The new team has been elected for a term of two years.

Speaking to Travel Trade Insider, Tiwari said, “ICPB needs to take all stakeholders together under its umbrella and play an active and aggressive role in promoting MICE tourism in India.”

Abinash Manghani, Area Manager & Head Travel Industry Sales, ITC Hotels; Sudeep Sarcar, CEO, India Exposition Mart; Madan Kak, COO-Tours, Minar Travels and Amit Saroj, Director, Attitude Events who were earlier also members of the governing board are part of the new team too. 

Suman Billa, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Chairman, ICPB was also present at the election process.
