The Outbound Tour Operators’ Association of India (OTOAI) recently concluded a series of successful Members’ Meets in Kolkata and Mumbai, bringing together travel trade professionals and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration within the outbound tourism sector.
Held on April 2 at Cal-On, Hyatt Centric Kolkata, followed by a larger gathering on April 3 at Kyma, BKC, Mumbai, both events were organised in collaboration with MakeMyTrip’s partner platform, myPartner. The meets witnessed strong participation from OTOAI members, travel agents, and industry leaders, underlining the growing need for structured networking platforms in the evolving travel landscape.
The Mumbai edition saw an attendance of over 120 participants, reflecting heightened engagement from the industry. Both events served as interactive forums for discussions around business opportunities, market trends, and the future direction of outbound travel from India.
Representatives from myPartner by MakeMyTrip, including Ashwin Dhakras in Mumbai and Samarth Saxena in Kolkata, extended their support, highlighting the importance of strategic partnerships in enabling growth and innovation within the travel ecosystem.
Addressing the gatherings, Himanshu Kesari Patil, President, OTOAI, emphasised the association’s continued focus on fostering meaningful engagement among members. He noted that such initiatives play a critical role in encouraging knowledge exchange, strengthening professional relationships, and creating new business avenues for the outbound travel community.
Both events were attended by OTOAI Executive Committee members along with key industry stakeholders, reflecting a collective effort to build a more cohesive and future-ready travel network.
With back-to-back engagements in two major markets, OTOAI continues to reinforce its role as a key industry body driving collaboration, dialogue, and long-term growth in India’s outbound tourism sector.
