The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) has elected Tejbir Singh Anand as its new President for the 2026–28 term. The elections were held following the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the financial year 2025–26.
The elections were conducted under the supervision of Returning Officer Rajeev Kohli. Vaibhav Kala was elected Senior Vice President, while Ronny Singh Gulati will serve as Vice President. Paras Loomba has been elected Honorary Secretary and Yog Chinmoy Dutt as Honorary Treasurer. Shekhar Babu and Amit Periwal were elected to the Executive Committee.
The new leadership takes charge at a time when India is seeking to further unlock its adventure tourism potential. ATOAI said its focus for the new term will be on strengthening safety and professional standards, expanding training and capacity building, promoting sustainable and responsible tourism, supporting destination development and engaging with government and industry stakeholders on policies for the sector’s growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Anand said the incoming leadership team would build on ATOAI’s three-decade legacy while focusing on tangible benefits for members, mentorship and responding to the evolving needs of the adventure tourism community.
He said encouraging members to adopt high operational and safety standards would be central to strengthening the industry and further positioning India as a premier global destination for responsible adventure tourism.
ATOAI was founded in 1994 with the objective of positioning India as a leading global adventure travel destination. The association works with adventure tour operators and tourism professionals across the country on advocacy, safety, sustainability, training, capacity building and responsible tourism practices.
