OTOAI Engages with Union Minister to Raise Key Outbound Tourism Issues

The Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) met with Hon’ble Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Cabinet Minister for Culture & Tourism, to discuss pressing issues affecting India’s outbound tourism sector.

The focal point of the discussion was the Tax Collected at Source (TCS), with the OTOAI delegation expressing industry concerns regarding its impact on international travel. The Minister gave patient hearing and shared his valuable insights, reflecting the Ministry’s proactive approach and willingness to engage with trade bodies.

OTOAI also used the occasion to extend a formal invitation to the Hon’ble Minister to attend the upcoming OTOAI Moscow Convention 2025 as the Guest of Honour, reinforcing its commitment to stronger government-industry collaboration.

The delegation was represented by key members of OTOAI’s leadership: Immediate Past President Mr. Riaz MunshiVice President Mr. Shravan BhallaGeneral Secretary Mr. Sidharth Khanna, and Executive Committee Member Mr. Vineet Gopal.

The meeting marked another constructive step in OTOAI’s ongoing advocacy for a conducive environment for India’s outbound tourism stakeholders.
