Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has further strengthened its footprint in Bhutan with the signing of an 83-key hotel in Thimphu. This hotel will be rebranded to an IHCL – SeleQtions.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, “We are delighted to expand our presence in Bhutan. The country’s growing popularity as a short-haul international getaway, particularly amongst Indian travellers, presents a significant opportunity for us. The conversion will enhance the interiors of the hotel and will offer a diverse range of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant cum bar, and a rooftop restaurant with stunning views. It will be well-equipped with wellness areas including a gym, an indoor heated swimming pool, and a spa.

Ugen Penjor, CEO, Yarkay Group said, “We are excited to join hands with IHCL with its legacy of pioneering destinations in the Indian Sub-continent.
