ATOAI team meets Secretary Tourism; National Board on Adventure Tourism on the anvil

Senior officials from the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) including Vaibhav Kala, Officiating President, Vinayak Koul, Hon. Secretary, Capt Swadesh Kumar, Founder President, Ajeet Bajaj, Founder Member, Past President, and Executive Committee Member, and Tejbir Singh Anand, Past President, and Executive Committee Member, met with the Secretary Tourism at Transport Bhawan, New Delhi on 6th May 2022. 

The Secretary Tourism was joined by his colleagues from the Ministry of tourism which included the Additional Secretary, Rakesh Kumar Verma, and Director General Tourism, G. Kamala Vardhana Rao.

 A detailed discussion was held regarding the recently announced National Strategy for Adventure Tourism formulated by the Ministry of Tourism. The Ministry of Tourism updated the ATOAI that document also highlights the formation of the National Board on Adventure Tourism which will be launched shortly under the chairmanship of the Secretary Tourism. The announcement of the National Strategy for Adventure Tourism and the National Board on Adventure Tourism was heartily welcomed by ATOAI and believes that these steps will greatly help in the promotion of adventure tourism in the country and also ironing out various pending issues on

Adventure Tourism. The other matters discussed by ATOAI leadership team also included promotion of adventure tourism in overseas and India, safe and responsible tourism processes.
