Valmiki bagged the coveted award for his contribution in creating a positive impact on the tourism industry through various initiatives on the sidelines of the 48th Skål Asia Congress hosted by Skål International Bengaluru
Valmiki who has twenty years of experience in the tourism industry in India was the only one professional chosen among 3,600 members spread across in the Asian continent.
Valmiki was also part of bidding committee and also instrumental in bringing 78th SKAL World Congress to Hyderabad in the year 2017.
“The ‘Athithidevo Bhava’ social awareness campaign introduced by the Ministry of Tourism with the objective of sensitising the stakeholders and the general public about various social awareness themes must be propagated more deeply and intensely,” said an elated Valmiki.
Immediately after the state bifurcation he collaborated with The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry also known as FTAPCCI as a Chairman for Tourism & MICE Committee to organise the maiden Telangana Tourism Conclave with the primary aim to promote interaction between the tourism industry and stakeholders. The then Tourism Minister, KJ Alphons had also lauded his efforts. He submitted white draft to help Government of Telangana to form it’s tourism policy.
