Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has opened its third property in Nepal with the launch of Lemon Tree Premier, Biratnagar, marking a significant step in the company’s regional expansion strategy.
Located in Biratnagar—the country’s key industrial and commercial hub—the hotel is positioned to cater to the city’s ongoing transformation into a modern business and travel destination. Often referred to as the gateway to eastern Nepal, Biratnagar provides access to prominent tourist and pilgrimage sites such as Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve and Baraha Kshetra.
The newly opened property features 80 rooms and suites designed for business and leisure travellers, alongside a range of dining and recreational facilities. These include the brand’s signature Pan-Asian restaurant, Republic of Noodles, as well as Citrus Café, Slounge, and a Tea Lounge.
For meetings and events, the hotel offers banquet and conference facilities, including the Tangerine ballroom and a dedicated boardroom. Recreational amenities include the Fresco Spa, a fitness centre, and a swimming pool, catering to both corporate and leisure guests.
The property is located approximately 3.5 km from Biratnagar Airport, providing convenient connectivity for domestic and international travellers.
Commenting on the launch, Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President, Lemon Tree Hotels, said that the opening reflects the company’s long-term commitment to Nepal’s growth, particularly in emerging business centres such as Biratnagar, where demand for quality hospitality infrastructure is on the rise.
The Lemon Tree Premier brand represents the upscale segment of the company’s portfolio, offering larger rooms, enhanced services, and premium dining experiences, while retaining the brand’s signature design and service ethos.
With this addition, Lemon Tree Hotels continues to strengthen its footprint in South Asia, aligning its growth strategy with destinations that are witnessing increasing tourism and business activity
