Fareportal Global Vice President Technology Nikunj Dhawan Inaugurates Solar Power Plant at Anandashram

Travel technology company, Fareportal, inaugurated a state-of-the-art 20kVA, 3-phase solar power plant at Anandashram, a Mother Teresa home for 40 physically and mentally challenged male orphans, near Gurgaon’s Bandwari village. This significant step towards eco-friendly energy solutions underscores Fareportal’s sustainability goals. The event was graced by the company’s Global Vice President Technology, Nikunj Dhawan alongside other esteemed dignitaries. In addition to funding the solar power plant, Fareportal also project managed its design and installation, aligning with the company’s ESG commitment. Fareportal also supports facility maintenance at Anandashram.  Including funding the solar plant, Fareportal’s involvement also addresses facility maintenance and    recurring power costs, aligning with the company’s ESG commitment.

This notable event comprised the symbolic unveiling of the foundation stone, followed by a walk around the Anandashram residence, providing attendees with an up-close view of the innovative solar power plant and the facilities provided for the ashram residents. Attendees also had the opportunity to meet with the residents who welcomed the opportunity to interact with the Fareportal team. Fathers and administrators of Anandashram and senior members of Fareportal attended the event. 

Commenting on the occasion, Nikunj Dhawan remarked, “At Fareportal, we believe environmentally conscious infrastructure is a fundamental pillar of progress. The solar plant was established at Anandashram to not only reduce operational costs and promote environmental sustainability but to also serve as a tangible example of clean energy adoption, inspiring the community and demonstrating Fareportal’s commitment to a greener future.” 

Father Benedict, Regional Superior for the Missionaries of Charity organization in India and member of their governing body, commenting on this special partnership, said, “This is a positive step towards a world where compassion and sustainability merge, paving the way for a brighter future for our children and everyone else in the global community.”
