Gurgaon headquartered, Corporate Alliance Group, one of the leading companies in the corporate business travel segment on Friday last week announced its acquisition of 80 per cent stake in Meet 2 Travel (M2T), for an undisclosed amount.
The company has entered into B2B and B2C exhibition and show space through the acquisition.
“We are already present in different verticals of the tourism industry. We are now entering a new domain of representation and exhibition businesses with the formation of YESPIRED. We will begin with our maiden M2T show in September scheduled to take place in the Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden in New Delhi. We are expecting participation from various travel consultants, tourism boards, airlines and consumer companies in the show,” said Kapil Kumria, CMD, Alliance Group.
Pegged as first-of-its-kind consumer tourism exhibition fest, M2T is a brain child of Vineet Gopal who has a vast experience in travel, exhibition and representation domains. The acquired company is now a part of a newly created entity – YESPIRED which will be headed by Gopal as its CEO.
“We are looking at the representation vertical leveraging our association with different hotels and destinations. We want to introduce some new destinations in the Indian market. As far as our exhibitions are concerned, we will be looking at offering customised solutions as per the need of different cities,” added Kumria.
Gopal will continue to hold 20 per cent stake in M2T. As per the acquisition deal, Gopal’s other two companies Representation World and Venuvi have merged with YESPIRED too.
“Our aim is to organise about 10-12 exhibitions pan India in a year. M2T offers a unique opportunity to our partners to meet and acquire new consumer clients. The fact that M2T’s first edition is taking place in a high footfall mall in New Delhi augurs in a good stead for our exhibitors. Moreover, the presence of celebrities will add to the overall value of the show,” said Gopal.
“On the other hand under the aegis of Venuevi we have tied-up with a farm house spread in an area of 5 acre. This farm house will be converted in a wedding venue. We are partnering with independent spaces to offer venues for weddings and corporate events,” shared Gopal.
Barun Gupta, Vice President, Sales Strategy, Business Development & Partnerships, India, Corporate Alliance Group said, “This acquisition is start of new phase at Corporate Alliance Group as we are planning and short listing other acquisitions in South Asia and South East Asia in the near future. We are excited by the exceptional opportunities on the anvil.”
