The LaLiT New Delhi Hosts Heads of States from Japan and Canada during the G20 Summit

The G20 Summit, a gathering of the world’s leading economies, brought together leaders, diplomats, policymakers and delegates from across the globe in New Delhi. The vision and strategic acumen of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji played a pivotal role in ensuring the summit’s success, reinforcing India’s role as a key player in the global arena. The theme of the summit “One Earth One Family One Future” which is extremely relevant today, has been deeply appreciated by all the participating countries. The LaLiT New Delhi, played host to His Excellency, Hon’ble Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, and His Excellency, Rt. Hon’ble Justin Trudeau, Hon’ble Prime Minister of Canada. Besides this the hotel also hosted a smaller delegation from Turkey.

As part of its unwavering commitment to excellence, The LaLiT New Delhi rolled out warm traditional hospitality for the exceptional experience and utmost comfort of the guests. The hotel was resplendent with Marigold flowers giving it a festive look and the lobby resonated with the musical notes coming of the piano, played by our talented autistic team member Adwitya. The delegates were greeted with auspicious Aarti Tikka and Vaijanti Mala – a simple way to showcase deep respect. With Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in its DNA, The Lalit team, comprising of members from the deeply marginalised communities such as LGBTQIA+, acid attack warriors and people with disabilities, extended a distinctly LaLiT welcome in Indian Sign Language to all delegates.

The culinary experts of The Lalit meticulously curated a menu that not only accommodated but also celebrated the dietary preferences of all delegates. The menu comprised of exquisite delicacies from the kitchens of their specialty restaurants – Baluchi, A Pan Indian destination and OKO, A Pan Asian destination. A special highlight was the use of millets in European and Asian cuisines to promote “Shree Anna” – the healthy millet and take forward the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji.
