Alma Resort Vietnam trains eyes on the Indian market

Alma Resort, Vietnam, the popular 5-star beach property, appointed Indiva Marketing as the representative company and media agency in India.

Herbert Laubichler-Pichler, General Manager of the property who was recently in India while speaking to Travel Trade Insider acknowledged that India is a market with immense potential.

We have started our activities for the Indian market this year. It is our first official visit so at present we need to see the response. However, India has a huge potential for us. We met Vietnamese envoy in India and he is also very supportive of tourism activities. Indian travellers are looking for new destinations to explore and Vietnam with new tourism offerings has been able to attract Indian tourists.

Situated on Vietnam’s beautiful Cam Ranh beachfront, Alma Resort commands some 30 hectares of inspiring ground. The property is immensely popular among local celebrities, singers, actors and media personalities who regularly stay here for short breaks and family vacations.

Alma Resort offers 580 spacious suites and pavilions with sweeping vistas of the ocean, including contemporary three-bedroom oceanfront pavilions, each 224 sqm large, with a living room, kitchen, four bathrooms and a private pool. Alma Resort features a broad spectrum of restaurants helmed by top chefs, a food court with an array of local Vietnamese and international cuisines, as well as a classic bar, pool bar and beach bar.

Other highlights include 12 swimming pools cascading down to the beach, a waterpark, a spa with 13 treatment rooms, a 70-seat cinema, a convention centre for 300 guests, an amphitheatre, an art gallery, a science museum, a gymnasium, a yoga room, an 18-hole mini golf course, a youth centre with virtual reality games, a kid’s club, a watersports centre and even an ‘Alma Mart’ mini supermarket!

When asked about the hotel’s target segment in India, Laubichler-Pichler shared, “We are targeting the family segment as we have everything a family needs. We have a water park, swimming pools, mini golf club, kids area, spa, youth club, science museum, amphitheatre, convention centre, and lots more activities to indulge in. I will not be wrong if I say that we are a destination on our own. Now with the flight connectivity between the two countries developing so well, the prospects for business growth are tremendous. Indians travel to multiple destinations and spend more time as compared to other markets, thus making them more desirable. I am hoping that Indian tourists spend more time at our resort too.

Vietnam with its charming colonial-era cities, lush countryside and pristine beaches is emerging on the travel radar as a preferred destination for Indian tourists. With robust direct connectivity now available from key cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad, the growth of outbound tourism from India to Vietnam has been positive in the year 2022.

What Indian travellers love is that we are affordable and not expensive despite being a luxury hotel. Just compare a five-star hotel’s rate located in New Delhi or Mumbai with us and you will know the difference. Sometimes, it’s just half of the rate.  Vietnam as a tourist destination caters to the need of all types of travellers be it solo travellers or women travellers,” shared Pichler.

Alma Resorts is working on various marketing campaigns for the Indian market. The hotel will work in tandem with airlines, travel trade, influencers and the embassy in India to promote the property.
