The rapid evolution of Sohna as a hospitality and events destination is continuing to attract significant investment, with new projects reflecting the region’s growing appeal among leisure travellers, destination wedding planners, and corporate event organisers. Improved connectivity, expanding infrastructure, and increasing demand for experiential venues have positioned the Gurugram-Sohna corridor as one of North India’s emerging hospitality hotspots.
Adding to this momentum, Tivoli Hospitality Group has announced the development of Midori by Tivoli, a new upper-upscale hospitality destination in Karanki, Sohna. Spread across five acres, the project is currently under development and is expected to open within the next two years. Upon completion, the property will feature 125 guest rooms, 10 suites, extensive event venues, recreational facilities, and hospitality offerings designed to cater to weddings, conferences, corporate retreats, staycations, and leisure travellers.
Commenting on the development, Akshay Gupta, Executive Director, Tivoli Hospitality Group, said, “Midori by Tivoli represents an important step in our growth strategy and reflects our confidence in the long-term potential of the Sohna hospitality market. The region is witnessing rapid infrastructure development, improved connectivity, and growing demand for destination weddings, corporate offsites, and leisure travel. Our objective is to create a world-class hospitality destination that combines premium accommodation, exceptional event infrastructure, and memorable guest experiences.”
The project is strategically located within the rapidly developing Sohna hospitality corridor and is expected to benefit from seamless access to Delhi NCR, Gurugram’s commercial districts, and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Industry stakeholders note that the destination has witnessed increasing interest from both the wedding and MICE segments in recent years, creating demand for integrated hospitality venues capable of hosting large-scale events.
According to the company, the property is being envisioned as a destination-led hospitality project serving multiple customer segments under one roof.
Aryaman Gupta, Director, Tivoli Hospitality Group, added, “Midori by Tivoli is being envisioned as a destination-led hospitality project designed to serve multiple customer segments. From destination weddings and social celebrations to MICE events, residential conferences, staycations, and leisure travel, the development has been planned to deliver a comprehensive hospitality experience under one destination.”
Beyond accommodation, the development will include landscaped outdoor areas, recreational amenities, a swimming pool, and curated guest experiences designed to create a well-rounded hospitality environment.
A major highlight of the project will be its event and celebration infrastructure. The property is expected to feature multiple banquet venues, including a grand ballroom, a signature Tivoli glass house venue, and expansive lawns capable of hosting weddings, conferences, exhibitions, and social gatherings. The addition of such facilities aligns with the continued growth of India’s wedding economy and the increasing preference for destination-based events.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the project, Ishan Gupta, Director, Tivoli Hospitality Group, said, “Sohna’s emergence as a hospitality hotspot presents a compelling opportunity for long-term growth. Increasing demand for destination weddings, expanding corporate travel requirements, and improving infrastructure are creating strong fundamentals for the sector. Midori by Tivoli is poised to become one of the most significant destination wedding and event-focused hospitality developments in the Sohna-Gurugram region. More importantly, this project reflects the vision of my father, Mr. Rohit Gupta, Chairman, Tivoli Hospitality Group, whose commitment to creating landmark hospitality destinations continues to guide our expansion and growth.”
Sustainability has also been incorporated into the project’s development blueprint, with plans for energy-efficient systems, water conservation initiatives, responsible waste management practices, and environmentally conscious landscaping.
As hospitality operators increasingly look beyond traditional city centres to destination-driven markets, projects such as Midori by Tivoli reflect the broader industry trend of investing in integrated hospitality ecosystems that combine accommodation, events, recreation, and experiential travel offerings. Upon completion, the development is expected to contribute to local tourism growth, employment generation, and the continued strengthening of Sohna’s position as a destination for weddings, conferences, leisure travel, and MICE events.
Tivoli Hospitality Group currently operates 15 hospitality assets across Delhi NCR and North India, with several additional projects under development, underscoring the group’s continued expansion within India’s growing hospitality sector.
