‘Business with Goodness’ to lead TAAI’s 68th Convention in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is set to welcome India’s travel trade fraternity this September as the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) hosts the 68th Annual Convention and Exhibition of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) from September 17 to 19, 2025, at the Grand Hyatt.

The high-profile gathering is expected to draw over 350 delegates, deepening the emirate’s ties with one of its most important source markets.

Returning to Abu Dhabi for the first time since 2016, the convention will be held under the theme “Business with Goodness” and will bring together travel agents, tour operators, airlines, hospitality leaders, and tourism boards from across India.

TAAI President Sunil Kumar described the event as a proud milestone for the association. “Our theme reflects our shared vision of building partnerships rooted in trust, purpose, and progress. The convention will not only be a platform for knowledge-sharing and networking but will also allow members to experience Abu Dhabi’s diverse cultural, leisure, and business landscape,” he noted at the recent official announcement in New Delhi.

Abdulla Yousuf, Director of International Operations at DCT Abu Dhabi, said India remains a key priority market both in terms of visitor numbers and strategic collaboration. “We are honoured to welcome TAAI’s esteemed members to Abu Dhabi and look forward to showcasing our destination’s remarkable evolution—across world-class cultural icons, family attractions, luxury, adventure, and business travel offerings,” he said.

The three-day programme will include a grand opening ceremony, plenary sessions on tourism innovation and collaboration, B2B networking forum, cultural and gala evenings, and curated gourmet experiences.

Delegates will also have exclusive access to iconic landmarks such as Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan, the newly opened teamLab Phenomena, and the BAPS Hindu Mandir,” said Shreeram Patel, Hon. Secretary General, TAAI.

The forthcoming TAAI convention supports Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which targets 39.3 million annual visitors by the end of the decade through strategic trade partnerships, improved connectivity, and year-round immersive experiences.

Our convention in Abu Dhabi will combine high-level discussions, B2B sessions, and immersive destination experiences, aiming to strengthen bilateral tourism and trade links,” concluded Rajan Sehgal, MC Member & Chairman – Public Relation Council, TAAI.
