Fortune Hotels forays into Jim Corbett

Fortune Hotels, a member of ITC’s hotel group today signed its newest resort property in Jim Corbett, Uttarakhand, thereby expanding its portfolio footprint into its 50th location in India. This is the upscale hotel chain’s 60th alliance in the country.

Located near Ramnagar, the safari styled resort set amidst green untouched wilderness will offer world-class accommodation and unforgettable guest experiences for nature seekers, soul searchers and adventurers at heart.

Post inking the agreement Samir MC, Managing Director, Fortune Hotels said ‘Our new property in Jim Corbett offers tremendous location advantage as it appeals to nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers alike.  This landmark alliance marks our entry into our 50th location in India besides helping us advance our footprint into Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, making it a significant milestone for us. Set to be branded as Fortune Jungle Resort & Spa, the widespread property offering panoramic views of the surrounding forests has stylish rooms, studios and suites along with multifarious dining options, recreation facilities and a restful spa. Guests can look forward to personalized attention, delectable cuisine and a variety of curated experiences that celebrate the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Designed by renowned architect John Hay, this African themed resort created on a virgin hill is hand crafted in timber. Set amidst untouched pristine forests and undisturbed views of the Bohrakot Wildlife Reserve, it is sure to captivate guests with its unique Swiss-style lodgings adorned with thatched roofs, and meticulously crafted décor accentuated by skilled artisans from around the world.

This strategic expansion aligns with the brand’s vision of becoming the preferred choice for discerning travellers in the leisure segment. The property will be Fortune Hotels’ first jungle resort and is estimated to open over the next few months.

Jim Corbett National Park holds a significant place in India’s wildlife conservation efforts. Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park, it is the oldest national park in the country. The park’s primary objective is to protect the endangered Bengal tiger, attracting tourists from around the globe and offering them a unique opportunity to witness India’s magnificent predators.
