TTI Team

Nestled in the bustling culinary heart of Delhi, Ikigai by Café Delhi Heights offers a sophisticated blend of Japanese and Pan-Asian cuisine. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of “Ikigai,” the restaurant delivers not just food but an experience that celebrates the joy of simplicity and taste. With its minimalist yet elegant interiors and an open sushi counter showcasing the culinary artistry, Ikigai creates the perfect ambiance for casual diners and gastronomes alike.

Our journey at Ikigai by Café Delhi Heights began with a delightful bowl of silky smooth Edamame Soup, setting the tone for what turned out to be an extraordinary culinary adventure. The soup’s rich, velvety texture and delicate flavor offered a comforting start, preparing us for the exciting dishes that followed.

This followed with a selection of vegetarian appetizers, where we ordered The World of Mushroom, Hummus and Beauty of Corn. The dish which truly captivated us was Beauty of Corn. It was an inventive medley of masala corn, charred corn on the cob, polenta cake, baby corn fritters, and a sesame dip—each component bursting with flavor and beautifully presented.

Next up was the Chicken Piccata, a dish that pleasantly surprised us with its tender chicken and tangy, buttery sauce. It struck a perfect balance between flavors and textures, but the Crunchy Calamari was one dish that left a lasting impression. Perfectly crispy and tender, it showcased the chef’s skill in balancing texture and flavor. The White Snapper, delicately cooked and seasoned, was another standout, offering a refreshing yet rich taste profile.

Ikigai also excels in its pizza offerings. With the option to choose between sourdough and filo pastry bases, the experience felt truly personalized. We opted for the Pepperoni Pizza on a filo pastry base, which was nothing short of exceptional. The crispiness of the crust paired with the savory pepperoni made it a pizza lover’s dream.

For something light and refreshing, we tried the Cucumber and Tomato with Mint Cream Sandwich. The sandwich was a testament to the kitchen’s ability to deliver simple yet delicious creations, with fresh ingredients and a burst of minty flavor in every bite.

Rounding off our mains, the Grilled Cottage Cheese Steak stole the show in the vegetarian section, with its smoky flavors and satisfying textures. Then there was Pan-Fried Noodles which was another amazing dish. Served with crunchy vegetables in a chili bean sauce, the dish delivered on both taste and nostalgia, embodying everything one looks for in comfort food.

Coming to the desserts, it was Chocolate and Salted Caramel Tart that truly stole the show, offering a decadent yet balanced finish to the meal. It proved to be the perfect finale, with its indulgent richness and a delightful hint of salt. To round off the experience, we savored Ikigai’s exceptional brewed coffee. Rich, aromatic, and invigorating, it was the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable meal.

Overall Ikigai by Café Delhi Heights is more than just a restaurant; it’s a culinary haven. The menu caters to a variety of palates while staying rooted in authenticity. Whether you’re savoring their inventive vegetarian dishes or relishing expertly prepared seafood, Ikigai ensures an unforgettable dining experience. For those seeking a modern take on Asian cuisine with a touch of elegance, Ikigai is a must-visit destination.
