Summers, in India are synonymous with mavina hannu (mangoes) and Sana-di-Ge, the renowned coastal cuisine restaurant in New Delhi is presenting the king of fruits with its authentic coastal touch. Coastal cuisine is all about maintaining the natural flavours of food so that its vibrancy can shine through. The mango mania at Sana-di-Ge, New Delhi started and will continue till 20th June.
You can have summer coolers of Mavina Kesar Lassi, which is a mood lifting blend of fresh mango and yoghurt or a coastal drink prepared with mango and coconut, sweetened with jaggery called Mavina Hannina Rasayana. Soup lovers can have Mavina Kai Rasam – a Konkani styled sweet and tangy rasam made with raw mango and homemade spice mix.
The Main Course Menu will entice you with its fresh prawns tossed in raw mango paste with black pepper and curry leaves called Chemeen Manga Fry, the famous Goan Prawn Curry, Aam Masholi Fry (a coastal Maharashtrian preparation of fish marinated with mango
paste, pan-fried with homemade spice mix) and you’ve a choice of pomfret or seer fish here. And if you’re a diehard Kerala cuisine fan then do try the Paccha Meen Manga Curry – fish curry cooked with mangoes and coconut milk. For chicken lovers there’s Kozhi Manga Fry, then there’s authentic Mangalorean curry of ripe mango cooked in coconut milk called Mavina Hannina Mudholi. Mango Pulisseery, Mavina Kai Sambar, Mavina Kai Chitranna will also grab your attention in the menu. Mango being a versatile ingredient of the season, will take care of your sugar craving also with desserts like Mango Kulfi, Mango Burfi and Mango Srikhand.
