The newly opened The Big Tree in Dwarka, New Delhi is nothing short of spectacular. From the moment you step inside, you’re whisked away to a serene, Greek-island inspired setting. Whitewashed interiors, soaring green trees seamlessly blended into the design, and a clean, minimalist yet elegant aesthetic set the tone for an experience that feels fresh, stylish, and far removed from city chaos. Even the lobby and lift area carry this lush theme, ensuring the island vibe begins well before you reach your table.
A Theatrical Start to the Meal
The real revelation, however, begins with the food. The Big Tree has managed to marry its stunning ambience with a culinary journey that delights as much as it surprises.

We began with the vegetarian platter, and it was a show in itself. Presented in a large pink trunk, the dish opened with a dramatic cloud of white smoke, unveiling a feast of appetisers Paneer tikka, Mushroom tikka, Soya Malai chaap, Yam Galouti kebabs and Jungle Nest Dahi Kebab. Every bite was carefully executed: Kebabs melted in the mouth, Soya Malai chaap struck a balance of spice and tenderness, while the Tikkas carried the perfect char and marinade.
Among the appetisers, one creation stood tall – Avocado Puchka Chaat. This inventive take on the classic street favourite was refreshing, flavourful, and elevated with the creamy richness of avocado. It was indulgent yet light, and the flavours lingered long after the last bite.

We also sampled the cream cheese walnut dimsums, delicate and light, though admittedly they couldn’t quite match the drama of the North Indian starters. The chilli cheese and corn rolls delivered a satisfying crunch, and the stir-fried fish offered subtle seasoning for seafood lovers.

Playful Small Plates & Snacks
Still entranced by the starters, we ordered Pav Bhaji Bites, which arrived in vibrant, diya-style bowls, playful in presentation and indulgent in taste. Equally memorable was the Palak Patta Chaat that was crisp, tangy, and perfectly balanced.

Though the appetisers alone could have been a complete meal, curiosity led us to the mains where we tried Thai Green Curry with Steamed Rice. It brought in fragrant, well-spiced comfort to our experience. To round off the experience, we explored the global side of the menu. The Thin Crust Farm Fresh Pizza was topped with crisp vegetables and gooey cheese and best end to the food theatre.
Sips that Shine
The Big Tree’s drinks deserve their own spotlight. The Hong Kong Special, with peach, kaffir lime, and a sweet-sour fizz, was refreshing and layered with flavour. The Berry Blast lived up to its name, a vibrant, fruity concoction that paired beautifully with the bold starters. Each drink was not just a complement but an extension of the dining experience.
The Complete Experience
Beyond food and décor, it’s the hospitality that seals the deal. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to enhance your visit without ever being intrusive.
In all honesty, The Big Tree leaves little room for criticism. With its dreamy interiors, inventive presentations, flavour-packed food, and gracious service, it is well on its way to becoming Dwarka’s newest culinary landmark.
