Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board received the ‘Best State Promoting Domestic Tourism’ & ‘Best State Promoting Fairs & Festivals’ Awards

The innovative annual festivals initiated by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board in the last few years seem to have paid off. Madhya Pradesh Tourism has bagged the ‘Best State Promoting Fairs & Festivals Award’ & ‘Best State Promoting Domestic Tourism Award’ at the prestigious International Tourism Conclave & Travel Award (ITCTA) function held recently in New Delhi.

MPTB was honoured at the national level for excellent innovations in promoting the state’s tourist destinations, providing experiential tourism to tourists during annual festivals and doing outstanding work in promoting domestic tourism.

Principal Secretary, Tourism & Culture and Managing Director Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla said the award comes as recognition of the fact that Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has been successful in highlighting the State’s tourism potentials and cultural richness. The annual festivals are a special treat for travel enthusiasts. The idea behind the conception of these festivals is to highlight the mesmerizing blend of rich history, exquisite wilderness, architectural marvels, and captivating cultural experiences of the state.

Additional Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Bidisha Mukherjee (IAS) received the award on behalf of MP Tourism. She said “Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has been given this honour on the basis of high level performance in the field of tourism, infrastructure development, and economic development of local community, preservation of culture and heritage of the state. Annual Festivals held at Madhya Pradesh are the adrenaline-fueled events which offer a plethora of exciting activities to satisfy a traveller.
