The Ministry of Tourism launched Dekho Apna Desh People’s Choice Poll 2024 to identify the most preferred tourist attractions and destinations of the country. The Poll was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 7, 2024 through video conferencing from Srinagar. Through this nation-wide poll, the Ministry aims to engage with citizens to identify most preferred tourist attractions and tourist perceptions across 5 tourism categories – Spiritual, Cultural & Heritage, Nature & Wildlife, Adventure, and any other category.
“Dekho Apna Desh People’s Choice 2024” campaign is one amongst the various initiatives and projects launched by the Prime Minister for promotion of domestic tourism. For participating in the campaign, citizens can share their votes at https://innovateindia.mygov.in/dekho-apna-desh/. It’s mandatory for participants to select at least one attraction they have already visited from any of the five categories and choose at least one attraction that they wish to visit in the future. The voting will be open till April 30, 2024.
The Government will prioritize the most voted destinations to develop the destinations of People’s Choice in mission mode and contribute to the country`s journey towards Viksit Bharat @2047.
This People’s Choice Voting Poll is a further step being taken to popularize the concept of “Dekho Apna Desh” which was launched in 2020 aiming to diversify tourist destinations and promote lesser-known destinations.
