Thiruvananthapuram to host Tourism Investors meet on Thursday

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala is set to host the inaugural Tourism Investors Meet (TIM) this Thursday (November 16), presenting an extensive range of investment opportunities in destinations, products, and initiatives that establish the state as an all-season experiential tourism hub.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event at Hyatt Regency in the city at noon. 

Key government figures like Finance Minister K N Balagopal, Revenue and Housing Minister K Rajan, Chief Secretary Dr Venu V, along with notable officials from Kerala Tourism Infrastructure Ltd (KTIL) and other departments, will grace the inaugural session of TIM.

Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas highlighted TIM’s importance in leveraging the state’s post-pandemic momentum, emphasizing Kerala’s untapped investment potential in the tourism sector. He stressed the need for Kerala to adapt, modernize, and align with current global tourism trends to maximize its appeal.

Riyas emphasized the state’s abundant physical assets and land holdings across potential tourism sites, advocating sustainable development to transform Kerala into a leading all-weather experiential tourism destination globally.

TIM will witness the participation of delegates, investors, business leaders, and stakeholders from various parts of India and abroad. The event aims to unveil key areas and locations requiring more investment, aligning with Kerala’s recent record-breaking domestic tourist arrivals in 2023’s first nine months.
