The Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) has constituted the ARK award with the objective to felicitate the contribution of individuals towards the growth of the domestic tourism market.
The maiden ADTOI Research & Knowledge (ARK) award has been posthumously conferred upon Anil Rajput, Managing Director of Promark Travel Services who also served the association as its Joint Secretary. The announcement was made by the association during its meeting at The Metropolitan Hotel New Delhi. Rajput who left for his heavenly abode last year is known for his penchant to discover lesser-known destinations. His wife received the award on his behalf.
PP Khanna, President, ADTOI while remembering Rajput highlighted his passion and contribution towards the domestic tourism segment in the country. He said that Rajput who was an avid traveller helped to highlight the potential of destinations like Kargil and North East India.Also present on the occasion were Rajat Sawhney, Senior Vice President (ADTOI), Dalip Gupta, Honorary General Secretary (ADTOI), Ved Khanna, Treasurer, ADTOI, Manoj Varshney, Joint Secretary, ADTOI and Anil Oraw, Regional Director, India Tourism Delhi.
