Want to Try new cuisine? Try Chickeera

Lebanese cuisine is gaining popularity amongst Indian audiences and the emergence of new restaurants has further enticed people to try this cuisine. We recently came across Chickeera, a cloud kitchen, which offers New York Style American-Lebanese cuisine. Mixing the best of American and Lebanese cuisine, the food they offer has a wide range of options to choose from, be it Ashets or Pitawich, or Burritos. At present the brand is delivering in 13 locations and 5 dine- in restaurants.

This is the first restaurant that introduced the concept of an Ashet and that too, various options like Indie Ashet and Mini-Ashet. Ashet is basically a large, shallow, oval dish, which is like a complete meal where you have rice, salad, falafel, etc. The concept of Chickeera was introduced by its founder Kartik Juneja, who saw this concept in New York and was thrilled to teach in India. With determination and focused handwork, he introduced Chickeera.

We tried Mix green and corn falafel Ashet, Bbq chicken Ashet, Makhni Kofte Ashet and Grilled Chicken Ashet. Among these, Makhani Kofte and BBQ Chicken Ashet were our instant favorites. The portion was perfect for one person and contained fragrant rice, hearty falafels/ chicken pieces, and salad greens. Then there was a secret white sauce that Kartik and his brother Shrey developed over two years. We loved the sauce and now definitely wish to know about the secret behind the same. We also tried Lebanese soya kebab Pitawich which was drool-worthy and super tasty.

A spumous dinner cannot be completed without a dessert so we tried their signature Baklava and Brownies. Baklavas were super moist and full of flavors. Overall the food was great and we truly enjoyed it.

Chickeera carries an evocative, engaging brand personality and is full of wit and candor, sure to hit a chord with the country’s youth. Expanding the horizon of flavors with new stores and a new menu with Mexican to Indian flavours, there’s something for everyone while having a bite of Chickeera.
