The sultry summer season might be ending. But like a flame on its last leg, it needs to flare up before snubbing out. Fashionistas will have the time to wear some trending clothes before replacing them with rainy specials. It is the time to grab those clothes that scream summer. Adding them to the closet and then wearing them in style makes one forget about the heat. Know these summer clothes to look perfectly hot without the sun.

STICK TO COTTON FABRICS – Cotton can be called the material to combat summer sun rays. Indian summers cannot have any other fabric other than cotton. The naturally breathable fabric lets one move around without letting one feel drenched. One can choose from a variety like muslin, flannel, etc. If one wants to look beyond cotton, linen is an option. By recycling cotton, living a sustainable life will be easier.

PASTEL COLOURS – The eye-pleasing colours go beyond the blues and pinks and include even yellows, greens and purple. There is hardly anyone who does not like pastel shades. The soothing factor they provide allows the wearer to relax even amidst maximum heat. It also adds a certain aesthetic quality to any attire. Soft lilacs are very much the colour of the season. This sophisticated colour lets the wearer look elegant and relaxed. Another colour is buttermilk yellow. It speaks brightly without getting into the eyes. Of course, white is the best colour to stop the sun’s draining power. The best part of white is that it goes well with other colours. 

TANK TOPS – It seems that tank tanks are the uniform for every fashionable person in the summer. Every wardrobe will have a few tank tops in every colour and fabric. The best part about owning tank tops is they pair with just about anything and every occasion. One can go as quirky wearing it as possible. There are quite a few types of tank tops to be worn for every need. The white tank top is trendy this season. It can be casual to formal & everything in between.

DRESS – Dresses are just the thing to cool in the summers. If possible, choosing summer fabrics like cotton or linen and colours like pastel shades will give a nice touch to the look. Right now, cut-out dresses are very much IN for the season. Black cut-out dresses are very much in demand for some partying at night. Halter dresses match the vacation vibes. Those delicate dresses or sundresses never go out of style, from floral to simple prints. Wear them for casual events or meets. Cotton Kaftans are another favourite for vacations, especially to beaches. The list is endless.

T-SHIRT KURTAS – Every Indian wants to add a desi touch to the summer wardrobe. That is why t-shirt kurtis have become a must-have for everyone. Summers are when one can go wild with this style. Wear it as per length to match the trousers, pants or even leggings. The combination can go on & on. The designs can range from stripes to Indian designs or even summer colours. Cotton t-shirt kurtas work the best this season. 

POLO T-SHIRT – Polo t-shirts have wide collars designed to keep cool on those sweltering days. These are the fashion item that is a must in any wardrobe. It looks casual & simple but is stylish enough to suit any occasion. Wear it for casual to formal in the summers. The oversized polo t-shirt looks fabulous. Nowadays, designers have added a twist to this humble summer wear like patterns & reconstruction. If not happy with these twists, the basic style comes to the rescue. Pairing the polo t-shirt is pretty easy as it goes with formal trousers/pants/jeans/skirts to casual stuff like shorts & minis, etc. Just take the call.

SHORTS – Nothing speaks summers better than shorts. They are the look of the season every time. Wear it to the beach or for that casual meeting with loved ones. The shorts option will blow the minds out. Opting for shorts is also practical. These days, one can opt for various styles. While khaki shorts are always a favourite, one can also choose floral shorts to look elegant. These days, many choose tailored shorts that can go formal with blazers & shoes or go casual with tank tops and sandals or flip flops.
