Cheval Collection, the luxury hospitality company operating serviced apartments across London and Edinburgh has announced an extension to its Cheval Old Town Chambers property as part of a long-term strategic vision for growth.
From mid July 2021, Cheval Old Town Chambers will have a stylish extension developed by owner Chris Stewart Group which includes 25 new apartments, a brand-new reception area and a lounge available for guest use.

Located in Edinburgh’s Old Town and opening directly on the famous Royal Mile at 329 High Street, Cheval Old Town Chambers will now offer a total of 75 apartments. The property is also introducing Luckenbooths, a multi-level bar and restaurant located on the ground floor of the Cheval Old Town Chambers on the iconic Royal Mile. Luckenbooths offers a family friendly destination for all day dining in stylish surroundings with a 140-seat restaurant and lounge as well as a sun trap terrace overlooking the most famous landmarks in the city.
The property opens in time for the 2021 Edinburgh festival season, which has recently been confirmed as going ahead, and makes for an ideal base. Opposite St Giles’ Cathedral and only a five-minute walk from Edinburgh Castle, Cheval Old Town Chambers boasts one of the best locations in the heart of the city, sited within a UNESCO accredited World Heritage Site.
The building dates from the 18th century and has been carefully restored over the past two years. The apartments, which consist of luxury, deluxe and loft one bedroom and open plan studio apartments, offer unique views onto the Royal Mile and the cathedral or northwards towards Princes Street Gardens.
