New industry platform GAEHP aims to foster collaboration and growth

The Global Association of Events And Hospitality Professionals (GAEHP) was officially launched in New Delhi recently.

With a founding membership of 100 professionals, the association aims to create a collaborative platform uniting event planners, travel agents, hoteliers, and other industry stakeholders.

GAEHP has already established two state chapters in Haryana and Punjab and plans to expand rapidly. “We expect to grow our membership base by over 200 by the end of the current financial year,” said Rajesh Arya, President of GAEHP.

He emphasized on the importance of a referral-based membership system, where new members are introduced by two existing members unless approved by the Ministry of Tourism. “This approach will help us to create a network of trusted professionals, fostering a strong sense of community,” Arya added.

GAEHP has adopted an inclusive membership model, open to companies with a minimum of five years of experience and individual professionals working in the industry.

We have introduced a professional membership option for individuals who can prove their industry involvement without requiring documentation or NOCs from employers. Simple proof such as an experience certificate or salary slip suffices,” explained Pranav Bansal, General Secretary of GAEHP.

The association plans to prioritize member training to adapt to the evolving business environment. “We aim to equip our members with the skills to leverage social media platforms and artificial intelligence for better business outcomes,” said Geeta Maheshwari, Director of Public Relations, GAEHP.

The association is also extending its membership to students enrolled in industry-specific courses, offering them exposure and networking opportunities.
