I wanted a quick break from my home-cooked food and wanted to try something which is healthy without compromising on flavours. While searching options online, I stumbled upon GOOD FLIPPIN’ BURGERS.
What caught my attention was their new burger on the menu – ‘Jack N’ Cheese’ which was available for a limited time period (only till 15th Oct). A patty made with Jackfruit! Does it sound interesting? Well, for me it was and I immediately stopped my search and ordered various types of burgers from the restaurant for me and my family.
The order was received well on time and meticulously packed. The aroma around the food was so tempting that we immediately unboxed and started to savour the food. The first one on the list was the special ‘Jack N’ Cheese’ burger – a crispy, umami-packed jackfruit and soy patty glazed with creamy jalapeño cheese sauce served with fresh onions and lettuce on a freshly baked bun.
Honestly, a good burger depends on its luscious and tasty patty, which makes the burger praiseworthy. In the case of Jack N’ Cheese, it made for a good change. The patty was juicy, succulent and had a good unique taste. This burger should be always on their menu!
Next was my personal favourite – Vegan Seagal burger – a crispy potato patty loaded with beets, broccoli and corn with spicy bbq sauce served with fresh onions, gherkins and lettuce. This burger had my heart. I found myself wanting more of it. I will be ordering this burger regularly for sure.
The next one on the list was Bean Bomb – Panko crusted bean and mushroom patty served with hot mayo, onions and lettuce on a freshly baked bun. The goodness of the bean and the richness of the mushrooms made it a good choice too.
Then we tried The Grilla – juicy grilled chicken breast marinated with peri peri spice rub on a bed of fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions with creamy jalapeno cheese sauce on their freshly baked buns. The spice rub on the juicy chicken was spicy, tangy and simply delicious.
Another must-try is The Saucy Clucker – a saucy, sweet and spicy clucker made of crispy fried chicken breast coated in the restaurant’s in-house smoky bbq sauce served with lettuce and spicy bhoot sauce on a freshly baked bun. The bhoot sauce mixed with smoky bbq sauce gives a bit of sweetness and heat to the burger and thus making it a spicy kick. The fried chicken combined with lettuce has a nice crunch flavour.
Then comes the sides where we tried peri peri wedges (crispy, herb-crusted potato wedges sprinkled with peri peri seasoning served with garlic dip), smoky bbq wings (crispy fried chicken wings tossed in the sweet, smoky and spicy bbq sauce) and BPL wings (chicken wings coated with a zesty lemon pepper seasoning fried till golden brown and served with lemon pepper ranch). All the sides were well seasoned and were the perfect accompaniment to the lovely burger menu.
These are a good healthy options for a delightful meal.
