IATTE celebrates one year of overwhelming success

Indian Association of Travel and Tourism Experts (IATTE) on July 21 (Wednesday) celebrated one year of its formation by organizing a virtual event.

The event witnessed participation from its leadership, members, media and other key stakeholders of India’s tourism sector.

The forum came to an existence last year at a time when the abrupt halt of global travel after the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic had brought tourism and hospitality businesses to a standstill.

Understanding the realities of the pandemic world, IATTE positioned itself as a new one-of-its-kind and innovative online platform for travel trade partners. It aimed to grow as India’s largest forum for travel professionals and in one year’s time has succeeded to grow its presence across the country with the opening of many state chapters.

“IATTE has brought various verticals of the tourism and hospitality industry under one roof in an online environment. We are glad that our members have been able to utilize the platform to forge business relationships and gain new clients,” said Naveen Manchanda, President, IATTE.

Apart from Manchanda, IATTE’s core leadership team comprising of industry veteran, Subhash Verma (National Advisor), Veena Robinson (General Secretary), Gaurav Khandelwal (Joint Secretary), Jatin G. Mehta (Joint Secretary), Aanal Dhabi (Treasurer) and Nischay Manchanda (EC Member) have played an instrumental role in the success of the forum.

IATTE through its virtual meets has already provided insight to its members on how to balance strategy and operational excellence. The forum has also organized offline events like the recent educational trip to Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand.

IATTE has constituted a ‘Josh’ Team providing leadership positions to more of its members. The virtual event saw the presence of Divy JainManmeet AhujaAbhay KanjikarVinita ChawlaGagan Taneja and Reena Jain Kapoor from the forum’s Josh Team leadership.

Also, present at the event were IATTE’s state heads including Mohan Vinod(Andaman Chapter), Sheikh Mohammad Sultan (J&K Chapter), Barun Gupta(Uttar Pradesh Chapter), Meenal Barapatre (Goa Chapter), Raminder Bawa(Himachal Pradesh Chapter), Sailesh Aggarwal (Jharkhand) and Ankur Rara(Rajasthan Chapter). The participants discussed the road map ahead for IATTE and the Indian tourism and hospitality sector.
